Dr. Aija Jansone
Senior researcher of the Institute of History of Latvia, and the head of Department of Ethnology at the Univ. of Latvia, Aija joined IOV as a member since 1998 and was a serious and concentrated member in the field of traditional clothing. Her interests and specialty include the Latvian traditional material culture, history of clothes, in which the history of textiles (embroidering and folk costume) in the folk art of Middle, North and Eastern Europe are the main subjects of her researches.
