The Presidential Council Meeting in Bahrain
From Dec. 16 to 20 the Presidential Council of IOV met in 2008 in the Kingdom of Bahrain, following an invitation of the Regional Secretary for Middle East & North Africa, Dr. Ali Khalifa, and the Ministry of Culture and Information. Member of the Month - Ms. Munkhnasan D.
Ms. Munkhnasan D, who joined IOV since 1998, was elected to be the Vice Chairwoman of the International Commission on Festival in 2003 and the Chair of the International Commission on Traditional Performing Arts of IOV in 2007. With academic training on music instruction and cultural management, Nasaa now works as a professional musician and arts administrator in Mongolia. Nasaa completed her study on music instruction at Art College. Later she graduated from the Institute of Art & Culture majoring in Culture Management, and received her Master degree with a thesis on "Cultural Thinking for the Development of Folk Art Festival in the 20th and 21st Centuries."...more
